Five new tracks

Simon Webster’s work includes original compositions and multi-media soundtracks in a variety of genres, ranging from contemporary classical to experimental electronic. As well as a multi-instrumentalist and composer, he’s also a practising illustrator and designer.

Born 2 months premature, with a high percentage chance of permanent brain damage, Simon was fortunate to overcome the odds. At an early age he took up the guitar and soon after taught himself the piano and began composing by ear.

As a teenager Simon was influenced by experimental musicians such as Beck and Aphex twin. During these years he formed several bands and developed an interest in music production, experimenting in a variety of styles and techniques.

At university, Simon discovered an enthusiasm for film and soundtracks, particularly composers such as Ennio Morricone and Clint Mansell. During his studies, he was asked by fellow students to compose for their short films and a number of successful multimedia projects ensued.

After graduating, he earned himself work placements at companies, specialising in post production, music production and music design. He then worked full-time as a graphic designer for a publishing company in Farringdon and later as a web designer. During this time, Simon continued his studies of music technology, self tutoring and taking part time courses in London.

Simon is PC /Mac literate and competent in using software packages such as Logic Pro, Pro tools, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Dreamweaver and Flash. He currently composes and performs music for solo, group and multimedia projects.
